Actually the song came out in '63 off the 'Surfin USA' album, which meant it was probably written early '63 or late '62. I think they are talking about the '62 Dart 413 and the '63 Sting Ray split window.

@lightsandsirens5 While I understand he was being offensive and ignorant, just because music is modern, it's not "junk." Not necessarily the songs you hear on top 40 radio, but there are still many talented artists out there.
